Ann Siang House is a place that I have always dreamt of staying at if I ever visited Singapore as a non-resident. I used to frequently visit the rooftop bar in the same building, which unfortunately isn’t open anymore, and I always opted to hang out in the area around it on a weekend night. So, when The Unlimited Collection offered me a chance to collaborate with them, I was thrilled. Still, they somehow managed to exceed my expectations.
After a fantastic stay at their sister property, KēSa House, it was time to move to Ann Siang House, which was just a short 8-minute walk up the hills of Tanjong Pagar. Even though I already knew the place, having been there countless times before, I did not expect to be so amazed by the staff, heritage design, amenities, and location. After spending a total of five nights in Singapore, I can confidently say that the city that I used to call home left me speechless, and I cannot wait to go back. Both KēSa House and Ann Siang House played a significant role in making my experience incredible. If you want to know more about my stay at Ann Siang House, read my full hotel review below.

For instance, for those who love cooking, some rooms come with kitchenettes, while all are spacious enough for a comfortable stay, with a mid-century modern vibe that adds to their charm.
The hotel itself has been tastefully restored, with modern decoration that’s bound to leave you impressed. Despite its modern feel, it still reflects its heritage as a shop house, which adds to its appeal.
My experience at Ann Siang House
During my stay at the Ann Siang House, I had the pleasure of staying in a Studio Executive Room, which was spacious and perfect for my needs. The luxurious bathroom was one of the highlights of the room, with a lovely stand-alone bathtub that was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The Hypnos mattresses were incredibly comfortable and provided me with a good night’s sleep. The Ashley & Co organic toiletries and complimentary continental breakfast were a nice touch and added to the overall experience.
Upon check-in, I was greeted with a delicious gin & tonic made with Tanglin Gin, which was a nice surprise. The lobby was comfortable and catered to all my needs as a traveler, with a great happy hour every day from 5-6 pm (complimentary!). The staff was courteous and professional and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and memorable. It was my birthday during my stay, and the staff decorated my room and congratulated me on my special day, which made it an even more memorable occasion.
VERENA’S VERDICT
Ann Siang House is a unique and authentic hotel that offers a great stay for travelers. If you are looking for an authentic hotel in an excellent location, Ann Siang House is the place to be. Similar to its sister property, KēSa House, it offers business and leisure travelers all they need for a comfortable stay, including a business lounge, washing machine, and bar. Their daily Happy Hour from 4-6 is a great way to connect with other travelers or chat with the bar. The overall design and location are unbeatable. This is not a standard hotel that you will find in every large city – it’s a very unique, authentic experience. I lived in Singapore for two years and can say that Ann Siang House is an invitation to experience Singapore like a local. I would always come back here.
