Hotel Belleclaire

Built in 1903, this landmark hotel has been carefully restored to offer guests a unique experience that blends the elegance of the past with the comforts of modern living. As soon as you step into the hotel’s elegant lobby, you’ll notice the attention to detail in the decor. The lobby features high ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and rich wood paneling, giving the space a timeless feel.

LOCATION

Hotel Belleclaire is situated in one of the most desirable neighborhoods (to live) in Manhattan. It is very residential but also safe and in proximity to recreational attractions, such as Central Park. The nearby subway station also makes it easy to explore other parts of the city; it takes about 10–20 minutes to get to the center of the city. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars in the surrounding neighborhood, making it easy to explore the city without straying too far from your home base.

ROOMS & AMENITIES

In recent years, the hotel has undergone a major transformation, with improvements to guest rooms, public spaces, and amenities. But it’s the rooms that really steal the show. From the plush bedding to the stylish wallpaper and artwork, every element of the rooms has been carefully chosen to create a chic and inviting atmosphere. The bathrooms are relatively small but sleek and modern, with marble finishes and luxurious amenities that made us feel pampered and indulged.

Granted, the residential-inspired rooms also feature modern amenities such as Frette robes and linens, complimentary water bottles, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were given a Parlour King Suite, but I was also able to glimpse at other room categories and was surprised how the rooms at Hotel Belleclaire are spacious and inviting (unlike many cramped hotel rooms in New York City). Whether you opt for a standard room or a suite, you’ll have plenty of room to stretch out and relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

In addition to its stylish design and rooms, the Hotel Belleclaire also offers a spacious and well-equipped fitness room.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Another great feature of Hotel Belleclaire is its on-site bakery, the Mille-Feuille. The cafe serves a variety of delicious coffee, tea, and French pastries, making it the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up before hitting the town. An extra perk is that every guest gets a $10 voucher per day/per person.

Exciting news for those planning to stay at the Hotel Belleclaire in New York City – the hotel is set to open a brand new restaurant and bar! This addition will offer guests even more options for dining and relaxation during their stay and is sure to be a hit with locals as well.

VERDICT

If you’re looking for a stylish and comfortable boutique hotel on the Upper West Side, Hotel Belleclaire is definitely worth considering. The spacious rooms and elegant design make for a memorable stay, while the location puts you within easy reach of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, while the residential environment makes you feel like you actually live in NYC. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, Hotel Belleclaire will surely exceed your expectations.
