Singapore Diaries: Living in Limbo
Today marks ten months as expats in Singapore. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year. But otherwise, we haven’t really lived here a year, since we have spent 3 months of it in total lockdown and another 4 months with restrictions and curfews.
If someone had told me last year what the experience of getting out of your comfort zone would look like, I’d probably rather stay within the safe one. Don’t get me wrong, I like Singapore. A lot. But sometimes, it feels like a forced relationship. And not knowing when I will be able to go back home to see my family and friends is not helping at all.
