My top 5 must-visit spots for SF Restaurant Week

San Francisco Restaurant Week is here, and I’ve handpicked my top five must-visit spots (including some fantastic bars!) for a week filled with indulgence and culinary exploration.

San Francisco Restaurant Week is a semi-annual event that celebrates the city’s diverse and vibrant culinary scene. During this week-long event from April 5-14, 2024, participating restaurants offer special prix-fixe menus at discounted prices, allowing diners to explore a wide range of cuisines and dining experiences throughout the city. It’s an opportunity for both locals and visitors to discover new restaurants, indulge in delicious meals, and support the local restaurant industry. SF Restaurant Week often features a variety of dining options, from casual eateries to upscale fine dining establishments, showcasing the rich culinary diversity that San Francisco has to offer. I have handpicked my top five must-visit restaurants, each promising a unique and memorable dining experience. Additionally, I’ve included a selection of honorary mentions—restaurants I’ve yet to explore but eagerly anticipate trying

Côte Ouest Bistro

I recommendet Côte Ouest to you before, and I’m thrilled to see that they’re participating in this year’s SF Restaurant Week. While I typically opt for their delicious brunch (and this is YOUR sign to try their incredible Croissant French Toast!), I’ve always been curious about their Steak Frites, and this is my perfect opportunity to finally try them, especially since they’re included on their $40 lunch menu. Can’t wait!

Penny Roma

Another gem on my list is Penny Roma. Renowned for its fresh pasta and upscale rustic Italian fare, this cozy spot promises an unforgettable dining experience. Their $75 dinner menu features mouthwatering dishes like Yellowfin Crudo and Grilled Pork Chops, topped off with a delectable Polenta Cake for dessert. I can’t wait to dive in and savor every bite!

54 Mint

If you love Italian food, 54 Mint is a must-visit spot – it’s as authentic as it gets. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a cozy, rustic ambiance that captures the essence of a classic Italian trattoria. Their $30 lunch is a fantastic deal, delivering exceptional quality and value that’s hard to beat. And don’t forget to treat yourself to a Negroni before you leave – it’s an essential part of the Italian dining experience that you won’t want to miss.

Bar Sprezzatura

One spot I’m particularly excited about is Bar Sprezzatura. Known for its vibrant Industry Night, this place is a must-visit for me. Their cocktails and food always leave me impressed, and the stunning interior design adds to the experience. During Restaurant Week, they’re offering a $40 lunch menu and a $90 dinner option. It’s the perfect chance to indulge in their incredible offerings!

Bar Spezzatura, One Maritime Plaza, #100, San Francisco, CA 94111

Beretta

Beretta is my go-to spot whenever someone is visiting, or if I’m just craving a simple yet delicious Italian night out. I’m thrilled that both their locations are participating in Restaurant Week with a $45 dinner menu that includes four courses. Their spring risotto, in particular, sounds to die for! Can’t wait to indulge!

Beretta Divisadero, 661 Divisadero St, San Francisco, CA 94117

Honorary Mentions

Wilder – Since 2020, Wilder has been serving delicious cocktails and inspired international comfort food. Their espressotini is recognized as one of the best in the nation. I’d go for their brunch which comes at $25 and features Whiskey Glazed French Toast and Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes. Yum!

Trestle offers one of the top, value-driven, fine dining experiences with their daily changing $42 prix fixe menu. For restaurant week, they added one course for $45 total.

Bar Nonnina offers a $45 dinner menu featuring three courses. I’d particularly be interested in adding the cocktail flight for $28.

Mathilde French Bistro – One of my favorite French restaurants in the city, offering a $75 dinner menu featuring their incredible French Onion Soup, Black Angus Ribeye Steak, and Chocolate Mousse as a dessert. I’ve been here last time and would go again in a heartbeat.

Whether you’re a local foodie or a visitor eager to explore, San Francisco Restaurant Week has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on discovering new favorites and supporting the city’s vibrant restaurant community!
